Every specialty is welcome
Bethesda Hospital is a Christian mission hospital run by HSY, a Korean mission organization serving the community of Mahabo with a hospital, a school, a church and clean-water wells.
We welcome volunteer doctors of any specialty, nurses, and other health professionals. You do not need to match a list of open positions. Tell us what you do, and we will work out with you how your skills can serve patients here.
Short-term or long-term, the length is yours to choose
There is no minimum stay and no maximum. Come for as long as your work and family allow.
Short-term medical mission
A week or two, or a few weeks between commitments at home. A good way to see the hospital and decide whether to return.
Long-term medical volunteer
Several months, a year, or longer. Time enough to follow patients, know the staff and become part of the life of the hospital.

- We handle the authorization process for foreign medical professionals. We will tell you which documents we need from you.

- We take you to Mahabo and support your travel during your stay.

- Interpreters work in English, so you can serve without speaking Malagasy or French.
